  Notes	Regarding a Record of Marriage between William West and Caroline Daw, Greenspond, 1860. There is a record of a marriage between Caroline Daw and William West in Greenspond in 1860 and it is assumed by many that it is this William. However, further research has proven that this marriage was of a different William West, Captain and Widower. Capt. William West and Caroline moved to England shortly after and had one child on the voyage to England and another, Margaret Lucy Jane West born 1866, the same year William died. In 1869, Caroline re-married to William Bragg and they had 2 more children. Sources 1.
