It is with great sadness the family of Morley Greening announce his passing on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 76 years. Morley leaves to mourn his wife of 55 years, Edna, son: Charles (Cherrie), daughters: Sherry (Roy) and Tara Lee (Gerard), his cherished grandchildren: Keshia, Alexandria, Nathan, Robin, Kaylee and great-grandchild: Amira. Also morning are his sister: Ina (Lorne), brothers: Eric (Irene), Clyde and a very large circle of extended relatives and friends. Morley was predeceased by his parents: Katie and Charles Greening, brothers: David (Shirley) and Wayne (Loretta).
Morley dedicated his life to working with and helping others, this was particularly true of his involvement with youth. He was a high school teacher for most of his career, until he retired in 1999. He was a leader in the dart community as well, as the founder of the Heatherton-Highlands Youth Dart League, Provincial Youth Dart Director and Mens’ Darts President. Since retirement, Morley continued to be an active person, as he worked at the Leading Edge Credit Union and was a member and Chair of the CBDC, of which he enjoyed tremendously. Morley was also involved in many other community organizations and committees throughout his life; constantly giving back to others.
Being an avid outdoors enthusiast, Morley loved salmon fishing, trouting, hunting, rabbit catching and berry picking.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL. A Memorial Service to commemorate Morley’s life will be held at a later date.
