- KIRBY, Patrick J. (Paddy) - Passed peacefully away on April 9, 1993 at the L.A. Miller Centre, retired chief engineer, C.N. Marine in his 86th year. Leaving to mourn his wife Helen; five sons: Anthony (Barbara) of St. John's, Joseph (Violet) of Spaniard's Bay, Don (Marge), Jerome (Nina) and Daniel (Maureen) of Kitchener, Ont.; three daughters: Patricia Smith of Councils Bluff, Iowa, Mary Casey (Peter) of Kitchener, Ont., Genevieve Rollings (Walter) of St. John's; special nephew Edward Kirby of Lower Sackville, N.S.; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Visiting hours 2-4 and 7:30-10 p.m. Funeral on Monday to St. Teresa's Church for mass at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
