Mr. Paul James Muise, 71, of 45 James St., Sydney, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Peter and Bessie (LeBlanc) Muise.
Born in Sydney, he resided in Whitney Pier all his life, and worked at the International Coal Piers, Holy Redeemer Parish Centre, Sydney Steel Coke Ovens, retiring in 1989 from Sysco. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and was also an avid skater.
He is survived by his wife, the former Rita MacDougall; two sons, Michael (Lynn), Calgary, and Derrick (Diane), Marion Bridge; three daughters, Paulette (Lloyd) MacDonald, Sydney, Carolyn (Edward) Nichols, California, and Ann Louise (David) Saunders, Ontario; his brother, Albert, New Waterford; his sister, Dolores, Massachusetts, U.S.A.; and eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Laura, Marc, Adam, Brandon, Kyle, Allison and James.
He was predeceased by his brother Wilfred and sisters, Alice and Rosella.
Visitation for the late Mr. Muise will be held today (Tuesday) from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in the T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Errol MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
