Name Arthur Hicks - For Arthur and his family, the main occupation was cod fishing, particularly on the Offer Wadham Island, as well as lobster fishing. He had a factory where he canned lobsters 48 tins to the case (in one pound tins). He took these to St. John's in the Fall and sold them to the merchant who supplied him with tins, solder and other items needed for his canning business.
