      Passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Mrs. Flossie Tippett of Musgrave Harbour in her 86th year. Predeceased by her parents Allan and Virtue West; husband Isaac; son Scott; four brothers and one sister Sarah Goodyear. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her three sons George of British Columbia, Ross of Toronto and Earl of Halifax; six daughters Grace Abbott (Harrison) of Musgrave Harbour, Maisie Pinsent (Cecil) of Musgrave Harbour, Juanita Tulk (Jim) of Carmanville, Olive Stratton (Bernard) of Aspen Cove, Pamela Didur (Rob) of Calgary, Alberta and Jocelyn Tippett of Musgrave Harbour; one sister Olive Pennell (Eldon) of St. John's; 22 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place on Sunday, February 22 from the Salvation Army Citadel in Musgrave Harbour. Interment followed from the Salvation Army Cemetery in Ragged Harbour with Majors Barry and Donna Anstey officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home in Musgrave Harbour/Wesleyville.
