- KIRBY, William Pius - Passed peacefully away after a long and courageous battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, William Pius Kirby, Pharmacist, of St. John’s. Predeceased by his parents, William and Sarah and brother Hank.Leaving to mourn, his wife of 48 years, Gail (Meades), sons Greg (Nancy Paul), Mark (Colleen) and daughter Danette Chaytor (Trent), grandchildren Sarah and Noah Chaytor and Scott and Jane Kirby, sisters Tease Brennan, Regina Andrews (Walter), Carol Burke (John), Lucy McKinley and Margie Sheridan (Jimmy), sister-in-law Diane McGrath (Joseph deceased), brother-in-law Dan Meades (Lynda) and their families as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday August 20th, 2014 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Thursday August 21st, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church on Elizabeth Ave. Burial to take place at a later date.Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
