It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winifred Violet Parsons Read announce her passing on Thursday, March 23rd, 2000 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 79th year.



She will be sadly missed by children: Ken (Rhoda) of Port Blanford, Cliff, Melvin (Margaret) and Bob (Mary), all of Rocky Harbour, Lillian (Bob) Batstone, Fred (Lorraine), both of St. John's, Anita (Fred) Dennis of Irishtown, Betty (Clarence) Jackson of Brampton, Irene (Glenn) Flatt, Carson (Bernette), all of London, Ann (Clarence) Knott, Bill (Priscilla), Irving (Nancy), all of Fort McMurray; grandchildren Vernon, Daryl, Nancy, Bonnie, Shawn, Lynnann, Gail, Paula, Jeanne, Joanne, Marlene, Joy, Maureen, Tracy, Krista, Brian, Christopher, Sheena, Cindy, Yolanda, Jonathan, Jennifer, Kenneth, Sarah and Jody; great-grandchildren Kyle, Madeline, Kirk, Stephanie, Matthew, Sally, Julia, Jenna, Katie, Lily, Garrett, Benjamin, Dillon and Daniel; brothers Eli, John (Evelyn) and Rendell (Eulah); sisters Edith, Rose (Albert), Melvina (Rendell), Agnes and Beulah (Gerald).



She was predeceased by her husbands Stewart in 1977 and George in 1988; son Gordon in 1954; granddaughter Catherine in 1993; sisters Blanche and Marigold; brothers Obediah and Leonard; parents Samuel and Clara Ellsworth.



Visitation will take place from St. Matthew's Anglican Church today Saturday, where also funeral services will take place on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Newhook officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot.
