    Sandy was not the biological son of Lazarus but was given his name and raised by him. Flora was his biological mother.

    It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sandy Dorman West announce his passing at the James Paton memorial Health Centre on Saturday April 16, 2016 at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his wife Blanch. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his 2 sons: Winston (Joan) of Halifax, NS, Wayne (Bernice) of Logy Bay; 3 daughters: Bonnie (Bruce) of Happy Valley Goose Bay, Gay (Mark) of new Minas, Susan (Harry) or Labrador City; special friend Beryl West; 4 granddaughters: Kilmeny, Cindy, Michelle, Samantha; 6 grandsons: Kyle, Maurice, Charles, Marcel, Tyler, Christopher and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may visit the United Church, Ladle Cove on Monday April 18, 2016 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Sandy’s memory to the Ladle Cove United Church.     Sandy married Blanche Tulk in 1950. Blanche (daughter of Japhet Tulk and Sadie West) was born on 27 Jun 1936 in Ladle Cove, Newfoundland; died on 20 Mar 1998; was buried in United Church Cemetery, Ladle Cove, Central, Newfoundland. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
