    Natalie's Memories of Nanny:
    I used to drink tea with her, I remember sitting at the coffee table in the living room while she rocked in her rocking chair. She would have black tea in a china cup and saucer and she would pour a little bit of tea in the saucer to cool to let me drink from it.

    I shared a room with her for a while when I was a child. I slept in her double bed with her. I remember almost falling out of bed one night while sleeping and she caught me by my pajamas and hauled me back up on the bed.

    She loved Bingo and would go often. I remember she would wear her fur coat to the Star Hall for Bingo. Sometimes we would go pick her up after and sometimes I would be in bed when she got home. I always knew she was home because I could smell the cigarette smoke from her coat. She didn't smoke, but the other Bingo players did.

    When Mom was 17 years old, she and her sister went to St. John's from Marystown and she went to work for a lawyer to take care of his children. She met Will and they were going out when she went to Boston with the family for 2-3 years. While she was gone, Will collected wood from the ships that came into the harbour and left wood on the wharf [from unloading cargo] and built their house on Pearce Avenue. Will, being a cooper and very handy, he removed the back of his car and turned it into a truck so he could collect the wood. Sarah returned to St John's around the time of the tsunami. They married when she returned and took a horse and buggy to Holyrood for their honeymoon.

    FLOOD, Terrence Terry - At North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site on Friday, February 1, 2002 at the age of 44 years. Beloved husband of Debbie nee Schnurr. Dear father of Stephanie of North Bay. Loving son of Fernande Flood of Ottawa and Gerald Flood Lorraine of Sudbury. Dear brother of Brenda Lebel, Lori-Jo Flood, Patsy Brisson Serge, Vicky Jameus Tom, Terry Gilbank Erica, Greg Gilbank Esther, John Scarbo Lisa, and Joanne Puffer. He will be fondly remembered by his mother and father in-law Lorne and Loraine Schnurr of Winnipeg and sister-in-laws Noreen Steven and Lori Kirby. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
    Predeceased by a brother Stephen and Grandma Crilley. Terry served 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces until his retirement in 1996. As family and friends all know Terry, was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and camping. "Dont let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart." Proverb 4.5.21 . Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd. on Tuesday,
    February 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service, Wednesday, February 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Donations in memory of Terry, to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
