(nee Sparkes)(October 16, 1923 – April 27, 2014) – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing at home, of our dear mom Ruth Janes, in her 91st year, with her daughters Betty and Beverly by her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Graham Janes (2004); her parents, William and Mary Ann Sparkes; her step-mother Diane; her brother Ruben Sparkes; and the precious family pet J.J. Leaving to mourn, her loving and devoted daughters: Betty Spurrell (Doug) Beverly Janes; as well as a large circle of friends – including special friend Freda Janes (Wayne) and her daughter Barbara. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Monday, April 28, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, and on Tuesday, April 29, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett`s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 11:00am, with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Bell Island. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Ruth`s memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Clinic.     JANES, Beverly Ruth (August 21, 1955 – November 2, 2017) – It is with great sadness that I announce the peacefully passing of my beloved sister Beverly at the Health Sciences Centre in her 63rd year. Predeceased by her parents Graham (2004) and Ruth Janes (2014), and precious family pet J.J. Leaving to mourn her lost loving sister Betty and brother-in-law Doug, niece Michelle, as well as a large circle of friends.
