Eliza West
1841 -
Generation: 1
1. Eliza West was born in 1841 in Cat Harbour (Lumsden), Newfoundland; was christened on 2 Jun 1845 in Greenspond, Newfoundland. Notes:
Are Elizabeth and Eliza the same person? There are no further records of Eliza after her baptism and no record of Elizabeth's birth but there is a marriage record for her. The vital statistics records are transcribed copies made in the 1940s from parish records. It's entirely possible there was an error in transcription or even in the original records as Eliza and Elizabeth were occasionally used interchangeably or by mistake.
